Lemore Manor Wedding Photographer - Emily and Steve

Lemore Manor Wedding Photographer

It was such an amazing experience being Emily and Steve's Lemore Manor wedding photographer in September 2017. It was a beautiful end of summers day but it hadn't always looked as though it was going to turn out that way.

For a while it looked as though they were going to have to have their wedding in the Lemore Manor chapel. This would have been just as stunning as the chapel is itself a beautiful part of Lemore. However, Steve was determined to have an outdoor ceremony. He kept his eye on the weather constantly, making the decision to have an outside ceremony with a plan to do a last minute shift of everything inside if the weather turned bad. As you can see, the weather stayed perfect for them. They and their guests to enjoy their wedding under the bandstand and relax in the beautiful gardens too. Some guests chose to play the garden games as others took the time to chill in the beautiful surroundings.

I always enjoy shooting weddings at Lemore manor, it is an amazing venue set along the Herefordshire / Welsh border. If you are looking for your wedding photographer at Lemore Manor or any other venue, click here to get in touch

2017 Best Moments

 2017 Best Moments.

When 2017 started I had no idea that it was going to be such a fantastic year. I have met and worked with so many amazing couples, guests and suppliers throughout this last year.  So firstly I would like to thank you all for making this such a great year and helping contribute to my 2017 best moments.

2017 Highlights.

2017 saw me nominated for West Midlands wedding photographer of the year and then make it through to the finals. I am so grateful to everybody that voted for me, it meant so much and it was lovely to read through your comments at the end too. Maybe 2018 will be my year, who knows...

In 2017 I shot my first ever themed wedding which was at Clearwell Castle. The theme was Sailor Moon which is a Japanese anime for those of you who didn't already know. It really was an amazing day and I will get round to blogging the wedding soon.

Also in 2017 I had two weddings featured in National Wedding magazines which felt awesome. I am hoping for more featured weddings this year too, maybe it will be your wedding.

What 2017 means to me.

Creating this blog of best moments is something that I have been looking forward to all year. Due to weddings happening almost every weekend throughout the year, I sometimes forget about funny or emotional things that happened. When I look at a picture, I get taken back to the day and reminded of what the circumstances were that resulted in a certain shot. I run through in my head, the fun and laughter of some of the portrait sessions, or the atmosphere when Dad sees his daughter in her dress for the first time. It reminds me of how much I love doing what I do and how lucky I am to call this my job.

Something I would definitely consider myself to be is nostalgic. I love history and in my job I love capturing moments that are a part of your history. To think that future generations will look back at your photographs and see you on one of the happiest days of your life is an amazing thought. So much can be caught and frozen in time, the second that button is pushed.

Thank you's

I feel so honoured that you chose me to photograph your weddings and still have to pinch myself to believe I am there doing what I do. I feel the same excitement for the next wedding as I did for my very first one. It's this excitement that makes me keep on trying to better myself year on year. Thank you to each and every one of you for allowing me the opportunity to capture your day.

I hope you all have a fantastic 2018 full of health, wealth and happiness.

Engagement Photography London

Richard and Jessica in London

Engagement Photography London. I jumped at the chance when Richard and Jessica said they would like their engagement shoot in London. I love working in London, especially around the Thames, so much going on and so many places for photography too.

Richard and Jess get married in 2019 but opted to have their engagement shoot early as Jess was about to leave for Norway for a work placement.

We met up in Stratford first then got the tube to St Pauls where we walked across to the Southbank part of London. Such a vibrant area wherever you go and whatever the time of year. We went eastwards taking the chance for photographs as and when they came. There was no plan really, just a relaxed engagement shoot and having fun in the process.

After a bite to eat, it wasn't long before the sun was going down and we had to chase the light a little. We crossed to the North side of the Thames and made the most of what light was left, ending up back at St Pauls eventually. Once the sun had gone down, we carried on heading westwards along the Thames. I wanted to get some shots with the lights of the London skyline in the background before heading back home. I Managed to grab a few tourists to act as human light stands and hold my flash once the light had faded completely, thank you unknown tourists.

Thank you for a great day in London both, looking forward to your wedding!
