Dewsall Court Wedding
I got to go back to the beautiful Dewsall Court for Hannah and Gordon’s amazing wedding in December. If you haven’t had a look at Dewsall Court for your wedding venue; then you should, this place is just stunning. Even on a cold, wet December day this venue oozes class. The main house is just as a country house should be, warm and cosy. The Wainhouse, where you can have your ceremony is absolutely stunning, lit with softlights and candlelight, it’s beautiful. If you love candlelight you will love the decor for this wedding, walking towards the Wainhouse in the evening light, just looked breathtaking.
The Wedding.
Hannah and Gordon wanted their wedding to be relaxed, fun and about everyone being able to enjoy themselves. They didn’t want staged photographs, just a bit of direction from me during their portraits. The whole day went superbly, their ceremony in the Wainhouse and then head back to the main house for canapés. A small number of group photographs and some quick portraits, along with the guys, just being guys. After a quick speech from Hannah’s Dad and a bit of music, it was sparkler time! The manic moment of sparklers being lit whilst everyone has a few drinks on board always makes me smile to myself.
Reception.
After the sparklers, everyone made their way back to the Wainhouse for the wedding breakfast. It was then back to the main house for desserts, espresso martinis and cupcakes which were for one of their close friends as a birthday surprise. The Mustangs played a few tunes and the partying got underway. After this, it was back to the Wainhouse for a Ceildh with Tweed in Bourbon, this looked like loads of fun! After the excitement of the Ceildh, the DJ kept the party alive into the early hours.

Great skills on show here in the face of the challenges that winter weddings throw at us. Masterful working of the light and excellent story telling. And how cool is the bride’s dress!!
