Delbury Hall Wedding - Andrew and Sarah

Delbury Hall Wedding

I had a blast with Andrew and Sarah at their Delbury Hall Wedding, one of Shropshires best wedding venues. It was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and laughter mixed in wit the odd tear or two. This was my first visit to Delbury Hall and I found it to have all of the things you would want for your wedding. Plenty of light, great scenery and superb staff that will look after you as a couple on your day.

The wedding

Andrew and Sarah are a very genuine and nice couple and their wedding day was as much about their guests as it was about them. Making time for everyone and also bringing along the amazing Magician Lofty for some entertainment. The guests made the most of the beautiful gardens and warm sunshine, one had a dip in the lake too! Only up to her knees though. In the evening everyone got down to the fabulous Beatroots Band, highly recommended!

English Country House Wedding - Phil and Adrienne

English Country House Wedding

Phil and Adrienne's English Country house Wedding at Brinsop Court was a superb occasion. The sun shone, which it hadn't done for a long time and their closest family and friends were there too. Adrienne got ready with her Bridesmaids and Mum in the lovely Ivy Cottage, whilst Phil spent the morning adding final touches to the venue, then getting ready with the guys in the Gothic Quarter. Rebel Rock were, as always brilliantly looking after the Bride to be. Whilst all of this was going on their guests were roaming around the beautiful gardens in the warm morning sunshine and taking in the scenery.

The Wedding

When Adrienne made her up the aisle to Phil there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Adrienne looking absolutely stunning in her Vera Wang dress holding her beautiful flowers by Issy and Bella. Their ceremony was one with a few tears and plenty of laughter, Adrienne's Mum raised a few laughs with her reading. After the ceremony everyone made their way downstairs to be treated to some delicious food from The Beefy Boys and a few drinks. The other big occasion on this day was the Grand National so everyone gathered around to watch with a few having bets on. After the excitement of the National it was time for a few rounds of pool and good old Atari games in the games room followed by some photos.

Food and Speeches

All upstairs to the banqueting hall for delicious Beefy Boys burgers (if you haven't tried them, you should!) Followed by the speeches. Some great speeches that were full of fun, Best Man Adrian was a character for sure. After a little quiz everyone then made their way back downstairs for some dancing. The first dance song  Dream Catch Me by Newton Faulkner is a favourite of mine, Phil and Adrienne rocked it! Guests then partied into the night and we finished up with some night time portraits which I love doing.

Clearwell Castle Wedding - Mel and Seb

Mel and Seb, Clearwell Castle Wedding

Mel and Seb had their Clearwell Castle Wedding in March this year. It was a truly beautiful wedding with their closest family and friends helping them celebrate in style. The weather was a bit hit and miss as you'd expect in March but it didn't affect the running of their day. We still managed to get outside for a brief period for a few portraits before Mel froze. Once back inside there was plenty of food and drink to warm everybody up and some awesome speeches beforehand.

Clearwell Castle is such a beautiful setting for a wedding and I always enjoy shooting weddings here. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and having nice big windows for a lovely glow of natural light inside, it's just perfect.

Brinsop Court Estate Wedding Photographer

Brinsop Court Estate Wedding.

So it was back to Brinsop Court for the Christmas wedding of Laura and Stuart. It is always amazing to be a Brinsop court estate wedding photographer and even more so when it is a Christmas wedding. Laura and Stuart had such a blast with their family and friends throughout the day in the glorious surroundings. I can't forget Charlie the Labrador, as he was not only present throughout the day but he also made an appearance during their engagement shoot too. (I wish my dogs were as well behaved as him). It was fantastic to be able to get outside for a few portraits at this time of year. If you are getting married here, the grounds are definitely a major factor for choosing the venue. Add to that, the stunning interior and you have a superb wedding venue hidden away in the beautiful countryside.

Time to party.

After their wedding breakfast and speeches, it was time to party. A great moment at the end of their first dance was the confetti canons, although someone was a bit premature with theirs. (I won't say who though). Some great tunes were played by the lively band, Kolo which had everyone on the dance floor. A certain local Hair and make up artist was up for the party...

It was a great atmosphere throughout the day with everyone making sure that the couple celebrated in style.

Llanerch Vineyard wedding Photographer - Fiona and Greg

Llanerch Vineyard Wedding - Fiona and Greg

It was great to work with these guys at their Llanerch Vineyard wedding. I already knew Fiona as she was a bridesmaid at one of my previous weddings. It was lovely to be able to shoot her wedding too and one of her bridesmaids was the bride from the previous wedding. Fiona and Greg had their engagement shoot in Cardiff, which can be found here. They live quite close to Cardiff so Llanerch Vineyard was very well known to them both. Fiona got ready at their home in a place which I can spell but I can't pronounce, (I do have trouble with Welsh words). During the morning she was surrounded by her bridesmaids and family who made sure she was as relaxed as possible. Emotion definitely spilled over though once Fiona was in her dress, with a few tears from almost everyone.

Their ceremony was at St Catwgs Church (another that I am unable to pronounce). This was a beautiful church not too far from Llanerch Vineyard. After the ceremony there was the short drive to the vineyard. Here we took some portrait photographs by the lake next to the vineyard whilst Fiona and Greg relaxed. We then made our way back into the vineyard for a few group photographs and a few more portraits too. The speeches after the wedding breakfast were very funny with a lot of jokes about the groom. The kind of best man jokes that only a brother could get away with really.

The Party.

Once the party had started, there was an announcement of a band that had been touring the USA were going to play. The reality was that it was Fiona's Dad and friends along with Mum and friends as backing singers. To be fair they did a good job (even if they did have to have the chords on a piece of paper in front of them) From then on it was a full on party with everyone joining in.

It was great to work with Janet White Ashby and Natalie Ricciardi again too ;-)

Cosplay wedding, Clearwell Castle

Sailor Moon Cosplay Wedding

Tom and Melissa's Sailor Moon Cosplay Wedding.

I met Tom and Melissa at a wedding fayre in 2016 where they told me all about their wedding. When they explained that it was a Sailor moon cosplay wedding, I'll be honest, I had no idea what they were talking about. Once I got home after the fayre though, I googled it and found out that not only was Cosplay huge, but Sailor Moon was too! Google it, you'll see.

Tom and Melissa booked in shortly after and explained how they wanted their day to go. The more they spoke about it, the more I got excited about shooting their wedding. All of the costumes were made or customised between themselves and their friends, they looked amazing. Their wedding was held at Clearwell Castle so this was a first Cosplay and Clearwell wedding for me.

Tom and Melissa love doing what they do, you can see it in them both when they talk about Cosplay. They just wanted to enjoy their day whilst dressed as their favourite characters and surrounded by friends. I have to say, it was a bit different from any other wedding. Walking into Bridal preparation and seeing Melissa and all of the bridesmaids in character was surreal at first. Tom and Melissa also had a costume change for the evening and looked fantastic together. You could see that a lot of effort had gone into their wedding and they were rewarded with an amazing day.

Their wedding day was so much fun to capture, with all of the characters around. I wouldn't hesitate to cover another Cosplay Wedding. Clearwell Castle is also a beautiful venue too, which made for a fantastic backdrop to the day.

English Country Wedding

English Country Wedding.

Teresa and Andrew's English Country wedding was just superb, it rained a bit but it didn't matter. Andrew is a farmer and Teresa a nurse, so I think they are both more than capable of handling a bit of wet weather.

The Wedding

The wedding itself was in St Michaels church in Ross on Wye, Herefordshire. Teresa arrived in a Rolls Royce but once they had got married, they left in Andrew's Tractor. (It had been cleaned obviously) Before they made their way to the tractor, they had a guard of honour. Not your normal sort though, pitch forks. Yes pitch forks, a great quirky idea which I suppose you would expect from a farmer.

The reception was held on Andrew's parents farm land south of Ross. It had beautiful views across the valley which made lovely backdrops for portraits. I did say earlier that it rained a bit but we had been extremely lucky in the fact that it only started to rain heavily when everyone made their way inside for the wedding breakfast. After the wedding breakfast came the speeches, Andrew's best man bringing out a life size card board cut out of Andrew on his stag went down well. Although I am sure Teresa was a bit shocked at the sight at first.

During the evening there was plenty of dancing and fun for everyone. By now even though it really was chucking it down outside, what did Andrew say? Shall we do some portraits? A true farmer for sure, rain was not going to stop him.

This was a fantastic English Country Wedding and I had such a blast, thanks Andy & Teresa!

Brinsop court wedding sunset

Brinsop Court Wedding Photographer - Lian and Sean

Brinsop Court Wedding

What's not to love about being a Brinsop Court wedding photographer? Beautiful scenery set in some of Herefordshires finest countryside. The stunning Brinsop Court wedding venue nestled in amongst the green hills and trees.

It was awesome to shoot the Brinsop Court summer wedding for Lian and Sean. Plenty of emotion and loads of fun were had throughout the day. One particular highlight was the video which Sean had made with the help of his groomsmen. They had spent some considerable time creating the video in which he and his groomsmen sang and acted to some famous pop songs. The video not only went down well with Lian but was loved by everyone who watched it later in the day. It' a shame I couldn't have added the video to this post as you would have loved it too.

Lian and Sean had said all long they wanted their day to be a great day for everyone and it was. You could see everyone was having a great time with plenty to eat and drink. (which went down well with Sean's rugby mates.) After a few more drinks, the rugby line out and scrum photo ideas were born. They had loads of fun creating these and the jumping shots too. (apart from the guy with the split trousers I guess.)

Into the evening and I was greeted with dance moves that I hadn't seen since my clubbing days. (a long time ago now) Not sure if it was a dance off or if everyone was in their own little zone but they could move for sure.

Thank you to Lian and Sean for giving me such a great day to photograph.

Lemore Manor Wedding Photographer - Emily and Steve

Lemore Manor Wedding Photographer

It was such an amazing experience being Emily and Steve's Lemore Manor wedding photographer in September 2017. It was a beautiful end of summers day but it hadn't always looked as though it was going to turn out that way.

For a while it looked as though they were going to have to have their wedding in the Lemore Manor chapel. This would have been just as stunning as the chapel is itself a beautiful part of Lemore. However, Steve was determined to have an outdoor ceremony. He kept his eye on the weather constantly, making the decision to have an outside ceremony with a plan to do a last minute shift of everything inside if the weather turned bad. As you can see, the weather stayed perfect for them. They and their guests to enjoy their wedding under the bandstand and relax in the beautiful gardens too. Some guests chose to play the garden games as others took the time to chill in the beautiful surroundings.

I always enjoy shooting weddings at Lemore manor, it is an amazing venue set along the Herefordshire / Welsh border. If you are looking for your wedding photographer at Lemore Manor or any other venue, click here to get in touch
