Engagement Photography London

Richard and Jessica in London

Engagement Photography London. I jumped at the chance when Richard and Jessica said they would like their engagement shoot in London. I love working in London, especially around the Thames, so much going on and so many places for photography too.

Richard and Jess get married in 2019 but opted to have their engagement shoot early as Jess was about to leave for Norway for a work placement.

We met up in Stratford first then got the tube to St Pauls where we walked across to the Southbank part of London. Such a vibrant area wherever you go and whatever the time of year. We went eastwards taking the chance for photographs as and when they came. There was no plan really, just a relaxed engagement shoot and having fun in the process.

After a bite to eat, it wasn't long before the sun was going down and we had to chase the light a little. We crossed to the North side of the Thames and made the most of what light was left, ending up back at St Pauls eventually. Once the sun had gone down, we carried on heading westwards along the Thames. I wanted to get some shots with the lights of the London skyline in the background before heading back home. I Managed to grab a few tourists to act as human light stands and hold my flash once the light had faded completely, thank you unknown tourists.

Thank you for a great day in London both, looking forward to your wedding!

Parkfields Country House Wedding - Martin and Emily

Parkfields Country House Wedding

Feedback from Parkfields Country House Wedding - We've just received our wedding photos and in short, I cried throughout the entire set! They are absolutely perfect.

Wedding Photography

I love meeting new couples, listening to their story and seeing all of their plans come together. It's such a great honour to be a part of these amazing days. When meeting Martin and Emily for the first time, I was taken in by their sense of fun straight away. I could see the excitement that they both had for their wedding day.

The Wedding

I woke up with a lot of excitement for this wedding, Martin and Emily were a fun loving couple so I knew it was going to be an emotion filled day. Lots of tears and laughter throughout the day and night. I have got to give a shout out to Emily's Mum, what a character! In fact, everyone was just fantastic at this wedding. All day and night ran so smoothly, I think this may be down to Emily's planning if i'm honest though. She is a school teacher and I think being organised is second nature - See the first photograph in the blog. I think Emily and Martin can count their day as a success that's for sure.

Marquee Wedding

Marquee Wedding

Rebecca and Matt had told me their marquee wedding was all about fun and colour, that's exactly what it was too. As a couple, they were both full of fun, I quickly found this out during their engagement shoot. We had their engagement shoot at the place they first met, their work place. Sounds strange for an engagement shoot doesn't it? They work at Westons Cider so right outside is an orchard which was ideal. Anyway, during their shoot they were both very entertaining characters and you could see why they had found each other immediately.

Wedding Day.

Rebecca and Matt's marquee wedding was such a colourful one, I'm so pleased they had the weather for it. The few days before hadn't been great so the warm sunshine was very welcome. Rebecca's bridal prep was, as expected a morning full of laughter along with a few glasses of bubbly. The girls were enjoying themselves whilst Mum was busy making enough food to feed 10 times more people, Rebecca had told me this would be the case. It was quite a loud morning at times, like when the flowers arrived, I don't think I have seen anyone so excited by their floral crown as Rebecca was. To be fair though, Issy from Issy and Bella florist had done an amazing job!

The whole day was just awesome, loads of Rebecca and Matt's family and friends came to help them celebrate. Literally no room outside of the church due to the amount of people waiting to congratulate the happy couple, confetti coming from all angles and lots of smiling faces. The evening party really was a party, a brilliant Karaoke band performed and invited guests up to sing. Luckily, quite a few of the guests could sing as I may have needed ear defenders otherwise. Matt's best man actually sang the first dance song, a David Essex classic, Hold me close which he did very well. After the first dance, numerous guests took to the stage and belted out their favourite songs. Whilst outside, everyone was treated to Pizza which was gorgeous

Herefordshire Tipi Wedding

Herefordshire Tipi Wedding

After meeting Steph and Dan for the first time and hearing about their Herefordshire Tipi wedding, I knew their wedding would be laid back. I wasn't wrong either; this wedding had a relaxed feel to it, with some quirky bits thrown in too. When I arrived at Steph's Dad's house for bridal preparation, I found a carousel horse in the room. Not something I have seen before but hey first time for everything. Oh and this one had Eeyore riding it too.

Steph and Dan had a church ceremony in Bromyard which Steph arrived at in a World War 2 US military vehicle which was pretty cool. This was an original too that had been restored by it's owner. After their ceremony, everyone made their way to what can only be described as a Tipi in the middle of nowhere, literally. What was so awesome about this Tipi was the decoration that Steph and Dan had used. It was mostly taken form Steph's Mums art work, a very talented artist she is too. Not your normal wedding decoration though, as you can see from the pictures but it looked amazing and had a personal touch.

Did someone say Aplacas?

Another quirky part now, Alpacas, lots of them. I think Steph forgot to tell me bout this part of the day but it was a great surprise. Steph and the girls even got to take the Alpacas for a walk, which they loved. Steph's Alpaca was called Dave by the way.

The rest of the day, once the Alpacas had gone was spent with everyone relaxing in the gorgeous sunshine. It was hot, very hot and the evening was a welcome break from the heat, especially with the free ice cream on offer (I had one too) The placing of the Tipi gave a great view across the Herefordshire countryside which always looks beautiful. If you haven't ever visited Herefordshire then I would recommend it.

A few more ice creams for the couple and their guests, whilst they sat on hay bales. Quickly followed by a bit of dancing capped off an amazing day for Steph, Dan and their guests.

Grendon Court Wedding - Kim and Ben

Grendon Court Wedding

This was the first ever Grendon Court wedding. They have held parties before but never a wedding. I have to say, they did a fantastic job too.

Grendon Court is set in the beautiful South Herefordshire countryside and set back from the main road, nestling in between some tree covered hills and it's own small lake.

I have to say, it was amazing covering the first wedding party to take place at Grendon Court. The sun shone for most of the day and the guests were able to spend time in the gardens. The excellent Magician Kiegan Vallelay was there to entertain them too, plenty of shocked faces to be seen. Later in between the courses of the wedding breakfast, some singing waiters had everyone fooled with their routine. Some even to the point of actually wanting to intervene, I won't go into the routine as it would only spoil it for future weddings. If you are thinking of having them, do it! They had everyone up out of their seats with songs and fun.

In the evening, the singing waiters carried on where they left off. Rocking out a few hits which got everyone up again. Later the legend that is Roddy Hankins was the DJ and he as alway played up to the crowd, not allowing anyone to sit down.

Kim and Ben, you were both amazing to work with and thank you for the feedback below. It was a pleasure to be your Hereford Wedding Photographer

Dewsall Court Wedding Photographer

This was my first time as a Dewsall Court Wedding Photographer and it was for the fantastic wedding of Becky & Steven. Becky and Steven live in Singapore and arranged their wedding (or most of it) from there, although they did pay a visit earlier this year. During that visit we had their engagement shoot which was also at Dewsall Court. It was great to get to know them both as most communication had been done through email or Skype.

Their wedding was a coming together of two families from different sides of the Atlantic. Becky's from the UK and Steven's from the USA, having said this, Steven's family do originate from France. Guests travelled from all over to help these guys celebrate and were rewarded with some beautiful if uncommon British sunshine.

Dewsall Court

Dewsall Court is a beautiful wedding venue in rural Herefordshire nestled in the stunning countryside. The wedding ceremony took place on the lawns with those stunning countryside views as a backdrop. Becky and Steven both spent the morning at Dewsall Court getting ready, relaxing and enjoying the company of their friends and family too. Steven and his groomsmen had a game of snooker although I am not sure that they knew the rules.

Photos and Party time.

When the sun had started to set we went out for a little portrait session in the gardens. Becky and Steven took this time to enjoy each others company and a bit of quiet time to think about how great their day had been. On to the evening and the dance floor was a huge party for everyone, some really cool dance moves there guys!

This was my first visit as a Curradine Barns wedding photographer and I have to say I was impressed. A great little venue tucked away in the Worcestershire countryside and surrounded by beautiful views across open fields.

The Wedding.

Claire and Paul's wedding was on a beautiful sunny day in July. Claire spent the morning at Curradine Barns with her bridesmaids (and sisters) having fun getting ready. Lot's of laughter from the girls with a few glasses of bubbly too. The wedding ceremony was an extremely happy one, again with plenty of laughter and love. Claire's Dad did hesitate for a second when asked to give his daughters hand in marriage, much to the amusement of the guests.

With the weather being so good during the afternoon the guests were able to sit outside and chat. We did get a slight bit of rain later in the afternoon but this is the UK after all. After a few photos later in the day with family and friends, then some portrait shots it was onto the speeches where there were a few tears with the stories being told.

Claire and Paul were a lot of fun to work with, with a very relaxed attitude and just enjoying the moment.

Lemore Manor wedding venue

Lemore Manor Wedding Photography - Martin and Sam

Lemore Manor wedding Photography

Lemore Manor Wedding Photography, I’ve got to say it, 2017 has been a superb year for me at Lemore Manor. Awesome weddings, awesome venue but most of all, couples full of energy, love and fun! Every wedding has been so different and with 2017 nearing the end, I can’t wait to blog the amazing weddings that are just bursting to be seen.

This next wedding has everything described above, energy, love and fun! Guests enjoying the day as much as the couple, dancing to probably the best band I have seen at a wedding and everyone mixing in together.

Lemore Manor wedding photographer

Lemore manor weddings are always special and the wedding of Sam and Martin was no different. Their wedding was very family orientated, they have two boys and wanted them involved in the proceedings. Whilst the youngest was probably a bit too young to do anything but be cute, which he did so well, the oldest was the ring bearer for them, not only that, he made a speech full of emotion which was very well executed I have to say. I think Sam was struggling to hide her feelings at this point.

Sam got ready in the Hen house which is a purpose built room for the girls in the morning. Due to the rain she then moved over to the Bridal suite for the finishing touches. The rain didn't stop our first portrait session, Sam and Martin rocked it and by the second session it had dried up with the sun breaking through.

There were tears of course, the good kind though, Dad was quite overcome when he saw Sam in her dress. Then a groom slaughtered by his best mans speech which was pretty epic and produced tears of laughter along with a few gasps too.

Cardiff wedding photographer, engagement shoot at Cardiff Bay

Cardiff Engagement Shoot

Cardiff Engagement Shoot

A few weeks ago I travelled down to meet Fiona and Greg for their Cardiff engagement shoot. Whilst there we walked around Cardiff Bay, chatted, drank coffee and took a few photos along the way. Cardiff Bay has certainly changed since the last time I visited the area some 20 years ago. Definitely worth a visit during the summer months for a day out.

Fiona and Greg are having their wedding in October at Llanerch Vineyard which is just outside Cardiff. It will be my first time shooting here and I am really looking forward to working with these guys.
