Gemma & Anthony
This Lower House Farm Wedding was set in a small rustic wedding barn venue set in 70 acres of hills and meadows in the Herefordshire / Wales border town of Longtown.
Gemma and Anthony had a small wedding of around 30 which was kept secret from a lot of people. This was due to the whole Covid thing having already forced the cancellation of their original wedding plans and deciding to keep the plans for this wedding date as simple as possible.
Bridal Prep.
Gemma spent the morning getting ready at her home in Herefordshire along with Mum. Make up was done by Anastassia and Hair by Rebecca from Rebel Rock. It was a relaxed morning with Gemma and Mum enjoying their time together.
First Look
When Dad arrived, Gemma was still in the middle of getting ready. For the final part of her preparation, Dad hid out of the way so that he could get to see Gemma with her hair and make up complete and also see her in her dress for the first time. It was an emotional moment for Dad Nigel, it’s always nice to see a reaction like this for me.
The Groom and his Groomsmen.
Anthony was already at Lower house farm when I arrived. Waiting nervously for the arrival of his Bride Gemma. I managed to capture a few shots of the guys together and he started to relax a little with the distraction of the guys having a bit fo fun.
The arrival of the Bride
Gemma arrived at Lower House Farm just as everyone had made their way to the ceremony location. The ceremony took place under a huge Oak tree which was a perfect setting for this wedding on a beautiful day.
The Ceremony
A small but lovely Lower house Farm Wedding ceremony took place under the Oak tree followed by the walk down the aisle and confetti for the newlyweds.
A Few Pics!
I always take a few group pictures and portraits in the afternoon. With the groups, I do tend to keep these to a minimum as my photography style is to tell the story of your day. If all we had was group photos to show, we would have no idea of the background of your story. It’s the whole story that will keep you reminiscing in the years to come.
Details
Some rustic wedding detail ideas. The details for this Lower house Farm wedding looked perfect for the setting.
Wedding Reception
The guests were treated to a lovely dinner in the rustic barn. All sat along one long table meant that the conversation flowed and they all had a great time.
Wedding Guests
Gemma and Anthony had set things up really nicely at the barn with a few games and a bar in a van. Everyone enjoyed being outside in the warm summer evening sunshine too.
Dancing Time
A little bit of dancing as you do. The band played and the guests got down, as you do.
Portraits
Out into the evening sun we went. Most of my portraits are relaxed and natural. with a few walking shots and just letting you enjoy each others company. I like your portraits to reflect you as a couple and not over pose you to the extent where you don’t recognise yourself. Gemma and Anthony were so easy to work with and just bossed it.
Thanks for having me as your photographer Gemma and Anthony. It was a pleasure to work with you both on what was an awesome day in the Herefordshire Countryside. Thank you also to the amazing wedding suppliers, as always it was a pleasure to work alongside you all too.
