I was so excited to be Abbie and Chey’s photographer at their Lyde Court Barn Wedding in August. I just knew they were both going to be so much fun to work with. The whole day just had an amazing happy feel to it with so much fun and laughter everywhere. Abbie and Chey were two girls who just wanted a relaxed and happy day with all of their closest friends and family. Their day had it all, an emotional ceremony, funny speeches and of course some great shapes on the dance floor.

I have to take my hat off to Abbie and Chey as there had been some rain recently but they still (Abbie insisted) wanted to go to the top field for a photo shoot. Whilst walking up there, the most amazing light was cutting across the fields with some dramatic skies in the background so how could I refuse. The mud, oh the mud on the dress! Was Abbie bothered? not in the slightest, smiling and laughing all the way through. Back down to the barn for more dancing and a hectic sparkler shot later on. (photographers, have you tried a sparkler shot with nearly 100 guests that have had a drink? Then you’ll know…) everyone was slightly excitable about the sparklers, me too though as I do like a sparkler shot.
